Barn Skeleton

As work on site continues this barn is stripped back to its bare bones to reveal the beautiful original structure which will be expressed in its final form.

Stripping Back

Works at Mount Pleasant have commenced with the one remaining element, the cottage, stripped back to it’s skeletal form. Next up, excavations and a reduced level dig in preparation for the new timber framed extension.

Works starts on site

The builders have started building work on this barn conversion in Oxfordshire. Exciting times as they begin the transformation of this amazing space – the existing purlins and trusses will be retained and expressed in the final design. First things first

Windows go in at Greyfell

The windows are now in at Greyfell! (formerly Old Lodge Barn).  The earlier design time spent positioning windows has really paid off now that the framed views across the countryside have been realised. Externally, the well crafted (and almost complete)

The Cheeseroom Transformed

The skeleton of the 1st floor structure of the cheeseroom at our Wantage project is revealed. The floor surface is reduced to a curvilinear bridge which descends on to the new stair down to the lower level.
