When fifty people have viewed a house and it remains on the market you know there is something wrong. Working with the enlightened people who did eventually take the plunge, we refurbished and extended this 18th century listed property. This involved a number of changes including restoring the beautiful lime plaster and relocating the stair back to its original place at the centre of the house to give it back its heart. Creating a contemporary rear extension with large doors opening onto the walled rear garden provided a new lease of life. Finally, a wood pellet heating system and lots of insulation made it a warm and sustainable home.
