Charlie Luxton Design were invited by Jamie Langlands Gardens in conjunction with Oxford Garden Design to design a pavilion as part of a show garden for the RHS Malvern Spring Festival 2023.
The design of the garden, entitled The Wildlife Trusts Wilder Spaces Garden, was designed to showcase the importance of gardens to our wildlife. Demonstrating what garden owners can achieve to benefit nature, while still creating a beautiful and comfortable garden environment.
Wildlife habitats are designed into the structure of the pavilion, including a living roof, nesting fascias and leaf-cutter bee towers which provide a calm space in which to observe nature.
Once the show is over, the garden plants and structures will be distributed across various Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust sites and projects involving schools and community groups. The pavilion and structural habitats will go to BBOWT’s College Lake reserve.
The garden won an RHS Gold medal, Best in Show and the People’s Choice Award!
