A new single storey extension creates a rational entrance progression to an existing farmhouse. The original entrance was dark and cramped and the extension has created a more formal and naturally lit reception space.

The extension has also provided an informal living room and conservatory which has created an improved connection between the house and the garden.

Materials were selected to respect local building traditions and the character of the surrounding existing buildings.
